readings!

My friend T.J. sent me the above photo the day his copy of I Miss You Very Much arrived. The book has been out for about six weeks now, and I'm happy to announce some upcoming readings at which I will be reading from the book and/or carrying copies available for purchase. I will also have copies of my first chapbook,This Room Has a Ghost, available for purchase.

* On Wednesday, October 26, at 10 p.m., I will be reading at The Mill here in Iowa City as part of the fourth installment of this year's Talk Art, a Writers' Workshop reading series. I will be reading from my series of TV poems. Nickolas Butler will be reading some of his fiction, as well.

* On Friday, November 4, Jeff Griffin and I will be reading from I Miss You Very Much at SP CE in Lincoln, Nebraska. 1416 O Street. We will each also be reading from other work, and there will be other readers as well. I'll post an update when I know what time the reading will be held and who else will be reading.

* On Saturday, November 19, at 8 p.m., I will be reading with Alex Walton as part of Southeastern Community College's Visiting Writers Series. The reading will be held at SCC's West Burlington campus in the Little Theatre, Room 433. I will be reading from both I Miss You Very Much and This Room Has a Ghost, as well as some newer work.

So if you're in Iowa City; West Burlington, IA; or Lincoln, Nebraska, hope to see you there!
